Theoretical Perspectives

Teaching media ethics often involves – even requires – teaching some philosophy. This content is NOT comprehensive in terms of philosophy, but it may help you understand a bit about ethics theory, some specific ethics philosophy such as communitarianism or the background of important philosophers like Kant, Mill, Gilligan or Bok. Please offer additions, suggestions and anything else that might help instructors absorb philosophy and/or teach students how to apply theory to media ethics decision making.
